Indelible Images // Mini Shoot

Sometimes the best photo shoots happen while I'm babysitting. Mikaela and I had fun playing at the park while her family got ready for her brother's open house. It was a blast to capture her energy and curiosity :)

The Little Moments

This post doesn't need many words, I was watching my siblings at someone else's house the other day and I just took a bunch of pictures of little things that were lovely to me.

Cody and Adela (part 2)

I'm looking forward to not driving across town to say hello... and not having to say goodbye.

I met both Adela and Cody at camp in 2012. Adela and I were laying on the warm soccer field during one workshop afternoon. Cody was playing frisbee with a group of people and Adela quietly whispered, "I wouldn't mind if I were a bit older so that he would notice me." The two were good friends, but Adela thought that programmer Cody saw her as just that and only that - a good friend. It is funny how that happens. After summer I was babysitting and I got a text from Adela saying something like "it's official!" I remember being so excited for them and also a bit weirded out that friends of mine were dating, after all I couldn't be old enough to have friends who could date (haha!) Then about a year later, after many group adventures and Monday texts, I got a text, "guess what?" I knew immediately. Adela tried to pretend I hadn't guessed it but I stayed firm and a few minutes later got a photo of her beautiful ring.

Almost exactly two years (from my calculations) from the whispered secret on the soccer field, the two Olan buddies got married, and I got to take the pictures!

Congrats you guys! I hope you are always so lighthearted and fun :)

Corey Family Portraits

I had the wonderful privilege of doing family pictures for some dear friends of ours and their extended family this week. We met at a beautiful park and I absolutely loved the color scheme they had chosen. I had a lot of fun, despite the mosquitoes and they all did great being photogenic and happy :) I have two other photo shoots that I still need to post from the last month as well as another one taking place tomorrow. So exciting to be home for a summer and be able to schedule shoots!
